Blue Water Resort & Casino “PARKER 425”, February 4th thru 7th. Since 2003, the “PARKER 425” has been the opening round for Best In The Desert’s car and truck classes. This race has a great and storied history of large fields and as “The Legend Lives On”, the 2010 edition could very well turn out to be the biggest one of them all.
The festive event gets underway on Thursday, February 4th with the Time Trials for the combined field of open class buggies and Trick Trucks to see who will walk away with the “Team Ford Pole Award”. Best In The Desert is the only long distance desert racing organization that runs this kind of qualifying format for every race that pits the two fastest classes heads up to compete for the “overall” race victory.
New for this year, after the completion of the Time Trials, competitors will take their vehicles through a specially set up car wash as they get spiffed up for their parade down the streets of Parker to the center of town for a grand celebration kicking off the exciting weekend. With an open invitation to all of the citizens of Parker, along with racers and fans, this is sure to be a huge event. After the downtown festivities, the race vehicles will parade back to the Blue Water Casino for a party to announce the results of the Time Trials and the winner of the $1,000 “Team Ford Pole Award” presented by Steve Olliges, president of Team Ford Las Vegas.
Contingency gets underway Friday morning in the Blue Water Casino parking lot. Thousands of spectators and race fans will have the chance all day long to get up close to the race vehicles and drivers as they weave their way through the hundreds of contingency donors set up on display.

At daybreak Saturday, the real business of the weekend gets underway when the first race vehicle blasts off the line at the start held on the streets in the middle of Parker, Arizona. Every racer will be on equal ground, including returning champions, as their quest for the season class championships begins. Back this year will be the hugely popular “Parker Python”, a special two mile infield section of thrilling jumps and switch-backs in the middle of the main pits.

The 2010 Blue Water Resort & Casino “PARKER 425”…If you’re a racer, you don’t want to miss the challenge. If you’re a race fan, you don’t want to miss the adventure.
