Baja Racing News and Baja 500 disappointment – this is on a personal level + everybody else I think feels the same – and it has nothing to do with the sport. For me, as a website admin, today’s Baja 500 was a huge disappointment. This disappointment is not based on the racing or the quantity of website visitors but based on what you can read here. I mean i am real huge disappointed!! We’ve been building this website and that needs time and effort, no matter how or what. You may not like the looks, heck often we don’t like the looks also. We are not web designers at 100% – talking about the looks and colors and so on- but we know our “shit” in the background pretty good. It is probably just a coincidence that this domain we have – and several others – have a similar name as a person known as Baja’s Offroad Racing most hated person. We do not go out and buy domains looking first who else maybe has a similar looking one. We buy a domain based on what we want – anyway that does not really matter. The domains were available to purchase and everything else is nobody’s business.
Getting over 30 hater-mails today, calling me M.O., the initials of the hated guy’s name, is not a real fair thing. Plus making remarks on another website like Race Desertz, in same flavor is even more lame! I work the web and I will not mention his name in full cause that would give credit in the search engines which I for sure don’t want – and that’s the field we are working in and we know what we do.
So giving a guy with the nickname “bajabird” even my private cell phone number is not enough, references to people such as Stanley Burn, Burns Racing Loreto brings you such comeback on private message exchange:

I had to call a friend in the U.S as to what “vouching” means – sorry English is not my first language – as well the posts like “check the post from this character… and no one knows him in LaPaz, anyone else want to know….. ” and “memin, your not cleared yet…. need photo for proof ” and I have only one thing to say: what character are you?? Are you some federal agency to give clearance?? I spend 20+ years in the off road sport, I broke my back 2 times and was on the edge sitting in a wheelchair. I make my offroad websites as a hobby and to give some back to the sport I love even if not capable of competing anymore, I want to help clean the sport and it’s appearance by calling out scum that stole from me as that M.O. guy did.
I know many racers on national and international level – they all had one thing in common: fairness!! Maybe you should go once and compete with elevated level guys to find out what that means. I personally preferred to be lapped by a guy like Damon Bradshaw or Jeff Stanton in the US and I rather have my ass waxed ( as off beating/lapping me multiple times – not asking another guy for picture kinda stuff, if you know what I mean ) in Le Touquet or other races in Europe from a Heikki Mikkola or Bengt Aberg in a international race in a competition as run somewhere around and ride the “I’m somebody” horse that gives clearance…. get a life! How many people would even give their phone number out on the net?? I did and you called!! You insist on a picture, why?? If i would be the scumbag I send you a fake one anyway. So I’m wondering: Are you the kind of guy one has to watch out for in a sports club when going into the men’s shower? Need to make sure my back is to the wall when I have to pick up a piece of fallen soap…?? Just real curious here cause i never had a guy ask me so often in a short time for a picture! Well, if it help’s you: I put one out for you on this post. what would help it anyway on top of the scumbag would use it for his crap?? Yeah, nobody here knows me, so what? Why so after 9 years living in this city?? Cause I stick with my people in La Paz and don’t join the standard BCS circles where the first one is yelling: “form a circle so the last one can pat me on the shoulder…..”
I do my jobs, I pay my SAT, I have my FM3 and I want my peace! I go to the races cause I like it, I write what people tell me and what I observe – Stanley Burns just verified my statements published on Puro Off Road, I do give a royal rip if they are mainstream or not, I live in a world of reality not wishful thinking! This in particular at a place that is driven by 65% rumors more then anything else a difficult thing at times.
“Sorry if I am wrong” as apology?? Oh well, next time you’re in La Paz lets meet at the Malecon – I will take a 3 meter run at you and kick you in the balls – then I will say: “sorry I was wrong”….. makes you feel better instantly, right? Well, you kicked me today virtual in the balls, I’m sure you are fair enough to take the comeback.
For all you other people sending crap mails – I can’t address you since you send and don’t tell me Why or What you don’t like about me and our website. Just let me tell you one thing: We ‘ve got nothing to do with M.O., we are not one of his a.k.a.’s, we are not related, we don’t know the scumbag. All we know: he is a thief by stealing from us at www.puro-off-road.com last year and he’s a dealer since he sell’s the stolen stuff as his. We are having server logs, IP’s recorded and all the other nice stuff like DMCA at Google and so on, all on record. We don’t lie, we don’t need to. And we don’t back (been racing enough to change in that matter) off, for sure not from stealing scum — not after 8 months since it happened and not after 8 years if he wishes.
He stole today again and we point it out, nothing else but PLEASE – no hater mails, no matter what, we don’t deserve that…… as many observers said today also -thanks for you guys (and chicks) – we are in for the sport, not the B.S. Don’t like that?? Go to other websites but don’t throw dirt for no reason please… everybody deserves a little respect even if you don’t know who he is….
For all you other people out there – sorry, really not into that contemplating and blaming stuff with no proof and if other’s aren’t worried about their name, so be it, I’m not!!!
